YNOT – Kink Men, the gay division of Kink.com, has launched a new site exploring the pleasure-pain principle of “edging.” A less-intimidating side of the BDSM work for which the San Francisco-based network is known, edging involves binding a subject and denying orgasm.
MenOnEdge.com features the signature rope work of Kink Men director Van Darkholme.
“Men on Edge is getting back to my roots,” said Darkholme, who got his start in the industry filming the muscle jocks he saw at the gym. “You’re tying somebody up who isn’t supposed to be tied up. He’s never done it before; this is his first time. For me, Men on Edge is coming full circle — tying up hot guys and milking them.”
According to Michael Stabile, recently hired to manage marketing for Kink Men, the new site’s appeal reaches beyond the dedicated BDSM fan. For Kink, it’s an opportunity to expand into a wider market without sacrificing its identity.
“A lot of people who come to Kink are curious, but not all of them are ready for something as hardcore as Bound in Public,” Stabile said. “Men on Edge is a great way to let them figure out what turns them on.”
Men on Edge also represents a way for mainstream adult stars to experiment with their kinky side. Darkholme estimates 90 percent of the stars who show up at Kink’s studios are curious about BDSM but possess little experience in the lifestyle. He said he’s made quick converts of performers like Spencer Reed, Dominic Pacifico and Sebastian Keys.
“They get a huge adrenaline rush from the session,” Darkholme said. “It stays with them.”
The site debuted with muscle jock Marc Dylan. Others who’ve signed up for the experience include Gavin Waters, Alex Andrews and Jessie Colter, with more on the way, according to Darkholme.
Inaugural subscribers to Men on Edge also receive access to Butt Machine Boys, a classic Kink Men site that is re-launching with new content. Together, the sites embody Kink’s biggest push into the gay market since 2008.
