TrueCash’s Chief Designer presents some helpful tips that will make your site faster, more visually appealing, and hopefully more profitable as well:
Avoid using horizontal gradients in animated .gifs– it vastly increases file size!
A study by Banner Tips Newsletter revealed that a compelling reason to click is more effective than
simply "Click here."
Try to make sure the models in your ads maintain eye contact with the camera, engaging your visitors.
Choosing a small, bright selection of colors in your ads will decrease file size while increasing visibility.
Blurring backgrounds in images will help focus visitors on your subject and decrease .jpg file sizes.
Minimize the use of animated graphics on your exit consoles in order to reduce wait time.
