Key Concepts: Landing Pages
Landing pages are lead generation tools vital to effective adult affiliate marketing. A landing page (sometimes called a splash page) is a single web page typically built to deliver a very narrow message to a very targeted audience. Landing pages almost always include a specific call-to-action.
Example: let’s say you’re running an adult affiliate campaign on social media with the goal of building up one of your email lists. Instead of sending clicks from these campaigns to your website’s home page (and then just blindly hoping they find your email list signup form), you can instead send clicks straight to a landing page designed just for the marketing task at hand. This ensures the visitor isn’t distracted. The page might include a pitch for why the arriving visitor should join your list, as well as a form below the pitch that allows the visitor to easily take the desired action of subscribing.
Using a good landing page means you’ll get your targeted message across more effectively and have more success achieving your campaign goals. Landing pages also make it much easier to track your efforts. Seeing what’s effective and what isn’t makes it easier to plan out your future affiliate marketing activities.
Different types of landing pages
There are a few different types of landing pages that you’ll typically use in adult affiliate marketing.
Designed for Lead Generation
These landing pages are designed specifically to entice visitors to enter their contact information, and they’re especially important for building email lists or setting up marketing automation. You might use this kind of page to offer free content to anyone who signs up for your adult email list(s), for example, then use email marketing to subsequently earn affiliate commissions.
Designed for Clickthrough
These landing pages are built with the intention of funneling traffic from one location to another. These landing pages have one goal: get the visitor to read a quick pitch then click a link to continue to another page where they can complete a transaction. You could use this kind of page for example to promote a specific cam model then use your affiliate links to send the visitor next to a signup form for that model’s cam network.
