LAS VEGAS – Befitting a webmaster community that hosts vitriolic sniping as often as it presents helpful information, the 2015 GFY Awards celebrated winners with an over-the-top pageant of epic proportions.
Launched in 2001 as an adult webmaster forum bearing the in-your-face moniker Go Fuck Yourself, GFY rocketed to popularity almost immediately, mostly as a result of interpersonal drama on a mammoth scale. In 2011, GFY began presenting its own brand of awards. For the first several years, the awards were tongue-in-cheek, but they’ve become much more serious during the most recent cycles.
The award ceremony, however, has not. At various points during Sunday evening’s festivities, attendees were entertained by little people, a super-sized drag queen, a cover band, a fan dancer, and a hula hoop exhibition.
