LOS ANGELES, Calif. – When I saw that Elegant Angel has released a new murder mystery movie, Daggers starring Nicole Kitt, my first thought was: Oh good – it’s s a real who-done-her, mostly because I’m a lame, middle-aged, bad wordplay machine, a status to which my longsuffering nieces and nephews can attest.
Written and directed by Mad Creativity, Daggers stars Nicole Kitt as Detective Megan Hale, who is tasked with investigating “a mansion full of backstabbers.” With that sort of project in front of her, I have a few words of (possibly quite obvious) advice for Nicole: Don’t turn your back on these people!
“Money, power, sex, and a thrilling mystery — that’s Daggers, my latest project with Elegant Angel,” Mad Creativity explained. “The story centers on eccentric billionaire Gerald Vaughn, played by Seth Gamble, who is found dead with everyone in his house a suspect. Nicole’s character has to trust her instincts to uncover who inherits the Vaughn empire — and who’s willing to kill for it.
Kitt described her character as “a can do, no bullshit, straight to the point, straight shooter detective.”
“She isn’t here to be nice,” Kitt added. “She’s here to get justice. She doesn’t care who she has to confront, manipulate, or turn against each other to get to the truth. I’d describe her as Olivia Pope without the softer approach. Megan is a shark, and if she has to get ‘down and dirty’ to solve the case, she absolutely will.”
Mad Creativity said when he sat down to write the feature’s screenplay, “I already had Nicole Kitt in mind for the lead.”
“She’s a rare combination of beauty, intelligence, and quick wit, and honestly, her performance blew me away,” the writer/director added. “She anchors a stellar cast alongside Seth Gamble, Vicki Chase, Codey Steele, Megan Mistakes, and Beca Barbie.”
Thus far, Elegant Angel has released the first four chapters of the feature, with the fifth and final chapter to be released tomorrow (Thursday, September 17). The full movie will be released to VOD platforms the same day, with a DVD to follow, the announcement noted.
“Daggers itself is a murder mystery with edge and, in my opinion, one of the best-written adult films to come out in a while,” Kitt said. “When Mad Creativity told me he was writing this script for me, I knew from day one it was going to be a banger. I was incredibly excited to work with him and Elegant Angel again. They’ve really become an extended family to me, and I’m proud to have another amazing release under the Elegant Angel brand.
