LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Performer Availability Screening Services (PASS), an adult industry clearinghouse for work availability data, has announced that all members of the adult industry are invited to a discussion the organization will host on Tuesday, July 7, which will feature PASS’s Executive Director Ian O’Brien, PASS Board Members, and the entire PASS Staff. The session will be held at 12pm PST.
According to the announcement, the focus of the session will be on “Mgen (Mycoplasma genitalium), the recent conversations regarding concerns over rectal Mgen testing, and misinformation circulating about changes being made to the PASS Standard Testing Panel.”
“PASS has committed to hosting monthly Office Hours for PASS Members in an effort to understand what the industry’s needs are, answer people’s questions, and receive feedback that can help improve PASS operations,” the statement added. “Due to the high level of engagement across multiple social media platforms regarding these topics, this Office Hours will be open to all adult industry workers.”
PASS advised that adult industry members who wish to attend the online town hall should register in advance through this link. Once a registration submission has been approved, the sender will receive an invitation via email.
PASS said people with specific questions or concerns about Mgen “can submit their questions when registering, so that the PASS team can address them during the session.”
In a statement on Mgen issued last month, PASS emphasized that “Mgen prevalence in our community remains very low.”
“The most recent monthly screening data shows a positivity rate under 3 percent, consistent with what we have seen over time,” PASS said at the time. “That reflects the strength of a community that tests regularly and takes its health seriously. A single positive result, or a wave of conversation about one, does not change the underlying picture that Mgen is not widespread in the adult industry.”
