PARIS – British dominatrix Lady Bellatrix has announced the release of Issue 5 of Femdom Royalty magazine, marking the publication’s first anniversary with an exclusive interview with Mistress Youko of Japan.
Launched in September of last year, Femdom Royalty was “created to give Female Domination a dedicated cultural and editorial platform, focusing on the women, ideas, history, experiences and evolving practices behind the international Femdom community,” as the publication explains it. The magazine has now published five quarterly issues.
“Issue 5 arrives at the beginning of autumn and just in time for Locktober, with a particular focus on chastity,” the release announcement noted. “Alongside the exclusive cover interview with Mistress Youko, the issue features interviews with Mistress Odette Engle and Miss Jessica Wood, offering readers insight into their careers, experiences and perspectives.”
The new issue also features the return of the magazine’s “Mainstplaining” feature, with Tim Woodward, founder of Skin Two, alongside the advice column “Agony Aunt” with Mistress Simone Worthington. “Mistress on Tour” introduces Mistress Milana, while Lady Bellatrix’s “Words of Wisdomme” this time around explores “chastity, Locktober and the psychology of denial.”
Reviews continue to be central to the publication, with Issue 5 visiting Den of Indomitus in Phoenix, Arizona, under Head Mistress Porsche Lynn, alongside a double book review by Dirk Hooper, an event review of “Bitches Unleashed” and a members’ site review of “Queens of Kink” by Fetish Liza.
“Femdom Royalty continues to distinguish itself from purely adult entertainment publications by treating Femdom as a culture and community as well as a sexual interest,” the announcement noted. “Its editorial coverage encompasses professional Dominatrices, BDSM history and traditions, contemporary Femdom, events, literature, dungeons, online platforms and the changing landscape of the wider industry.”
Lady Bellatrix explained that she launched Femdom Royalty “because I felt there was room for a publication that treated Female Domination as something worth documenting properly.”
“Five issues later, that remains exactly what I believe,” Lady Bellatrix added. “Issue 5 marks our first anniversary, but it is also a reminder that we are only getting started.”
