FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Teasr, described as “a new live-selling and social-shopping marketplace app created specifically for the sexual-wellness industry,” will make its official launch on August 3 at the Stimulate B2B Sexual Wellness Trade Show and Conference in Nashville.
According to the launch announcement, Teasr is designed to “give sexual-wellness brands, artisans, retailers, educators and content creators access to the interactive ecommerce tools that have driven growth across fashion, beauty, collectibles and other mainstream consumer categories.”
Using the app, “sellers will be able to host live shopping shows, demonstrate products, answer customer questions in real time and offer live-only pricing, flash sales, auctions and giveaways,” the announcement added. Brands and creators will also be able to “publish prerecorded shoppable videos and operate dedicated storefronts where consumers can discover and purchase products directly through the platform.”
“Live shopping has changed how consumers discover products, learn from creators and make purchasing decisions, but sexual-wellness businesses have largely been excluded from that evolution,” said Teasr founder and CEO Avi Goldstein. “We created Teasr to give this industry a dedicated platform where education, entertainment, community and commerce can finally come together.”
Goldstein added that Teasr is intended to make shopping for sexual-wellness products more informative, personal and approachable.
“Many sexual-wellness products require more explanation than a traditional product page can provide,” Goldstein said. “Consumers want to understand how a product works, who it is designed for and whether it fits their personal needs. Live demonstrations and real-time conversations create a more comfortable and confident shopping experience.”
According to the announcement, Teasr’s planned features include:
- Interactive live shopping shows
- Real-time product demonstrations and customer questions
- Live auctions, flash sales, exclusive pricing and giveaways
- Shoppable short-form videos
- Brand, retailer and creator storefronts
- Discreet shipping and buyer-protection features
The company said the new platform will also “create new opportunities for sex educators and content creators who may not manufacture products of their own,” as participants will be enabled to “host educational programming, curate product selections and connect their audiences with relevant sexual-wellness brands.”
“Education is becoming increasingly important to sexual-wellness consumers, especially in categories where shoppers may feel underserved or uncertain about which products meet their needs,” Goldstein said. “Teasr gives educators and creators a meaningful role in helping consumers discover products while also creating new ways for them to monetize their expertise and audiences.”
Stimulate attendees will be able to “preview Teasr, learn how brands and creators can participate and see demonstrations of the platform’s live-shopping and shoppable-video features,” at the expo, which will take place Aug. 3-4 at the Sheraton Grand Nashville Downtown.
