Interactive adult pleasure product brand Lovense has announced the expansion of the company’s interactive camming ecosystem with the launch of “Control Me,” a feature than enables creators to “control fans’ toys at scale, completing a full bidirectional loop built on the industry’s largest installed base of connected devices.”
According to the announcement, the new feature’s API has now launched and is ready for integration on webcam sites.
“Built upon the success of previous installments: Tip to Vibrate, Cam Extension & Give Control, the core feature of Gen-4 is “Control Me,” designed to push the boundaries of immersion, giving creators a more direct and more intimate way to engage fans,” the announcement said, “allowing fans to request creators to take control of the fans’ Lovense toy, directly from the sites.”
Lovense said its ecosystem “enables creator tools that are purpose-built for the realities of today’s morphing entertainment industry,” explaining that the new feature’s public release “comes after an extensive series of private test rounds on multiple platforms.”
The company noted that the new Control Me feature follows on the success of its “Give Control” function, which enables fans to control performers’ Lovense toys during broadcasts and private sessions.
“Since its rollout, Give Control has become a proven monetization engine, generating millions of USD for the camming industry every month,” the company said. “Building on those results, Lovense now introduces the next evolutionary step: Control Me – a creator-controlled experience.”
The announcement explained that with the Control Me function, creators gain the ability to control a user’s Lovense toy, adding that the “flow is designed to feel intuitive and permission-based,” involving the following steps:
- A user connects their Lovense toy to the platform.
- During the show, the user tips the correct amount to unlock the invitation.
- The model receives an invitation request and can accept or decline.
- If accepted, the model is shown an on-screen pop-up confirmation that enables the creator to control the user’s Lovense toy for the selected duration.
Lovense also noted that “pricing flexibility is a core feature of the new system.”
“Through Lovense Cam Extension, creators can set the price for Control Me as high or as low as they choose, including the option to make it discounted or free during private shows.”
According to the announcement, Control Me is “engineered to drive measurable improvements, including higher user engagement, increased conversion rates” and “better creator retention.”
“The result is a unique, immersive user experience, intended to keep fans returning, while providing creators with a boost in earnings,” the company added.
The announcement also detailed that in addition to individual Control Me sessions, the new feature “builds creator tools for special control events.”
“With these events, creators can prompt fans who connect their toys to participate in special shows and then control everyone’s toy with one simple click,” the company explained, saying this capability allows creators to:
- Increase event intensity and show pacing (Including edging shows)
- Earn multiple times for the same amount of work
- Encourage promotion on social media to grow a crowd of toy owners
- earn from toy sales: get paid commission when fans buy toys, through the affiliate program, and then get paid again to control the fans’ toys.
