VANCOUVER, Canada – Adult Game Fest has announced the event is expanding its featured exhibitor lineup ahead of its inaugural virtual gathering, with “four additional independent developers bringing distinctly different visions of adult gaming to the virtual show floor.”
The announcement explained that Fallen Genesis, PalpatineStudio, Adventurous Goat and Paper Tiger Games have joined the event’s lineup of developers, publishers, creators and industry organizations taking part in Adult Game Fest
“What’s exciting about this lineup is that there isn’t a single definition of what an adult game is,” noted Anna Lee, Executive Vice President of Adult Game Fest. “These developers are approaching the medium from completely different creative directions. That’s exactly the kind of diversity we want Adult Game Fest to showcase.”
Project Egris from Fallen Genesis is described as “an 18+ choice-based fantasy novel set in a dystopian cyberpunk world.” Players can choose from four playable genders while “navigating a story involving crime, royalty, identity and fate.”
“Being a part of the first Adult Game Fest is a huge honor and a huge milestone I couldn’t have predicted,” said Fallen Genesis, creator of Project Egris. “I’m excited to introduce more players to the world and characters of Project Egris, talk amongst my peers, get to know the adult gaming community more deeply, and share where the story is heading next.”
Independent developer PalpatineStudio offers a small catalog of adult games, including Mad Gambler Country and Gardener Hero. The developer recently expanded onto Steam with 20 Bucks Is 20 Bucks: A Never-Ending Story, which features “a strong emphasis on animated content.”
Meanwhile, Ardor for Depravity, from Adventurous Goat, combines “a story-driven visual novel with sandbox elements, following Emily as she explores her identity and undergoes psychological transformation.”
“In this industry, getting noticed can sometimes be very tough,” Adventurous Goat said. “I hope the festival will give more players the opportunity to discover and experience Emily’s story.”
Created by Paper Tiger Games, Rivers of Astrum: Daughter of Darkness is described as “a story-first dark fantasy game with a grounded lesbian focus.” According to the announcement from Adult Game Fest, the game’s story “originated in a manuscript the creator has been developing for nearly 40 years, drawing inspiration from Final Fantasy, The Lord of the Rings, Power Rangers and more.”
Adult Game Fest said the game’s sexual elements are “designed to complement its larger narrative, while nearly 40 content filters allow players to customize their experience, adding that the sexual elements “add layers to the story, without becoming the story.”
The announcement noted that for Paper Tiger Games, Adult Game Fest will mark the developer’s first convention appearance.
“My hope is to encounter potential new fans of story-first adult content, particularly in the lesbian sphere,” Paper Tiger Games said.
