NakedSword Launches Exclusive Web Series
YNOT – Gay adult video-on-demand network NakedSword on Monday debuted the first episode in its new XXX-rated web series Golden Gate. New episodes, which stream through NakedSword.com’s newly implemented Silverlight player, are expected to bow every other Friday, with supplementary content premiering on the Fridays that don’t offer a new webisode.
According to NS Chief Executive Officer and Golden Gate executive producer Tim Valenti, the series ushers in the beginning of a new era for the membership site, as NakedSword members now get exclusive original content every week, in addition to access to the webcaster’s library of current and classic gay adult films.
On weeks between new episodes, the site will offer outtakes, solo clips, behind-the-scenes vignettes and model interviews to “round out” the experience, a company statement indicated.
For more than 10 years, NakedSword has provided members with content from web-based and brick-and-mortar studios, so the transition to producing original content was natural, Valenti said. Still, the process required some adjustment. For Season 1, NS enlisted the help of some of the gay industry’s most recognizable talent, including director Chris Ward. Season 2, already in production according to Valenti, will feature the directorial work of Tony DiMarco. Both DiMarco and Ward direct for NS sister company Raging Stallion Studios.
“A NakedSword original production may seem like a no-brainer, but I wanted to make sure that we were in a position to be able to produce a series that was good enough to put the NakedSword name on,” Valenti said. “Simply, “Golden Gate” has wildly exceeded my expectations and I couldn’t be prouder of the end product.”
In addition to online streaming, NakedSword plans to release each season of Golden Gate on DVD, quarterly.
