Why We Don’t Take Every Deal That Comes Along

I just heard from one site owner and assessed her site. It was an outstanding site, with great design and a great concept. Unfortunately, the owner hadn’t given it enough time to grow and make money. So, it was still losing money due to startup costs. I suggested to the owner that she let the site grow some more, make money, and then look into selling it. I told her if she tried to sell it now that it wouldn’t sell for much. Nowhere near what it was really worth or what it cost to develop. She appreciated the advice, took it to heart and went to work on making it all that it could be.

This has happened many times since I established Adult Site Broker.

Sometimes a site is making money, but it’s obvious it’s going to grow more. So, I advise the owner to keep building it up. A year or two later the site sells for many times what it would have sold for earlier.

And frankly, some sites are just too small for us to handle. A site that sells for 20 or 30 thousand dollars doesn’t generate enough revenue for our company to give it the time it deserves. And in the end, we need to make a profit, or we won’t be able to continue to serve our clients well. Plus, taking deals that size would take away from our other clients and their needs. So, we set a minimum value of 50,000 dollars. That way we can give your listing the time it deserves.

We won’t take on a listing and just let it sit there on our site, with no support. We give all our clients 100% of our effort to make sure it has every chance to get sold.

And our customers appreciate it. The ones whose sites we sell appreciate the hard work we do. Just go to our website and look at our testimonials. By the way, every single one is a real client. Not all the pictures are of our clients, because some people don’t want that association with the adult industry, especially those who are getting out of the business. But you can tell by reading these testimonials we’ve changed many lives.

The clients whose sites we don’t take on also often appreciate it. I feel we have a duty to be honest with everyone. We don’t just tell people what they want to hear. If their site is either not likely to sell or isn’t going to bring enough of a return, why waste their time? So, we give you an honest assessment of the value of your site, not a lot of blue sky like you might hear elsewhere.

Some people think their site is worth more than it really is. Sometimes the truth hurts. But isn’t it better to be honest than to BS people? We think so.

We are happy to talk to anyone about their website and give them an honest idea of what it’s worth. And if it isn’t ready to sell, we’ll tell you why and try to point you in the right direction so you can increase the value.
