While the events of the recent World Trade Center attack come first to mind, every year we are faced with other disasters that can close your business. I live in Florida, and we have to contend with hurricanes and tropical storms every year. These storms bring power outages and sometimes flooding. Recently my firm had to deal with a small roof collapse in our storage area. Years of files that we had in storage were in danger of being soaked and rendered useless. Thank the heavens that my firm had a written plan on what to do in case of this very contingency. So write down a list of problems that can close your doors and what you would do to keep the doors open. Some problems that could affect the webmaster could be:
You have no back-ups of your sites and files;
Your domain name is stolen;
Your hosting company closes without notice;
A natural or man made disaster strikes (We have been shown that this is a real possibility);
A new virus is developed to attack adult websites (A real possibility);
Your merchant account is closed, or your credit card processor closes;
You are banned from your AVS sites for some act in violation of their policy;
