Max Candy, an award-winning Canadian adult film director and producer, is slated to attend DomCon and Fetish Factory this May.
Candy, who is finalizing the first official trailer for his documentary film, tOuch BDSM, will be meeting with potential production partners and interested broadcasters during each event.
DomCon, a professional and lifestyle domination convention, will be held on Los Angeles from May 9 – 13. Later in the month, Fetish Factory is “gearing up to demolish Fort Lauderdale, FL” (May 24 – 27).
tOuch BDSM recounts the Candy’s unprecedented three-year journey to uncover the secrets of BDSM. The film follows three women as they open their lives to the BDSM lifestyle. They share the unvarnished truth of their often surprising experiences in this kinky world and shed light on this often taboo topic and community. Could there be any freedom in bondage, harmony between dominance and submission or anything good about sadomasochism? This film explores these questions and asks, “Do they know something that you don’t?”
Candy posited, “Humans are by nature bold explorers… Yet our own infinitely complicated minds are still a complete and utter mystery. How could this be?”
“I believe darker parts of our society and culture have mercilessly sought to create shame and to forbid us certain thoughts in an effort to control our behavior… on the promise that in the future or perhaps the afterlife all will be well.
“In my mind, BDSM practitioners are the modern explorers, fearlessly exploring the last great frontier, which is to understand our true selves and our own minds, not the artificial people our society has manufactured us to be,” Candy added.
tOuch BDSM promises to be an interesting exploration of these themes and ideas as well.
