LISBON, Portugal – Filmes Hotgold has embarked upon an initiative to blanket the globe with Portuguese heat. The studio’s made-in-Portugal adult content bowed on a new website this week.
Powered by online partner Manica Media, Hotgold.xxx is presented in both English and Portuguese. According to a Hotgold representative, the website is the first pay site to be presented entirely in the language native to both Portugal and Brazil.
“The internet is the only format that gives distribution and global access in an instant, and we want to be a global brand in the adult content market,” said Hotgold General Manager Carlos Ferreira. “More than that, we want to maximize the Portuguese original content that we believe can be a new niche in the industry. If we buy Italian, French, Spanish, Brazilian or even Japanese porn here [in Portugal], why wouldn’t other countries have interest in high-quality Portuguese porn, as well?”
Though Hotgold’s adult films may not be all that well-known yet in North America, the company’s content is popular in Europe, thanks in part to a live-broadcasting channel bearing the HOT brand. The website, which will incorporate material from the premium broadcast channel, represents a major brand expansion, according to Erwin de Boer, Manica’s vice-president for online media.
“Hotgold is by far the No. 1 player in Portugal already, with a very strong team,” de Boer said. “As a strategic partner, they are exceptional. Hotgold.xxx is already demonstrating just how powerful this new venture will become.”
The new website offers members access to the studio’s entire archive of exclusive videos as well as live content from the HOT channel. Consolidation of the studio’s broadcast and online interests into one all-inclusive membership package makes plugging in to Hotgold content whenever, wherever, via any device easy and convenient.
What’s more, according to de Boer, Hotgold.xxx will be updated daily with both a new scene and never-before-seen material from the studio’s vault.
“Fans of adult content in Portuguese, from Portugal to Brazil and beyond, will love the high-quality content,” de Boer said. “We provide an English option, as well, for other fans interested in the exotic, sensual style of the best Portuguese adult videos.”
He added that affiliates may cash in on the collaboration through Manica Money, which pays 25 euros per sign-up or as much as 70 percent recurring revenue share. The program also administers membership sites for Harmony Films, Lust Cinema, Joybear Pictures, Pink’O, WCP, PornXN and Purzel Videos, among others.
