Adult AI platform Soulkyn has announced another round of upgrades, this time focused on improvements to AI writing, a smoother chat experience and better browsing.
“Authors deserve to have their names displayed prominently,” Soulkyn’s Knox wrote in a post published today. “Light Novels now display their author’s name on both the novel page and the novel cards. Like an author’s style? You now have the option to search ‘by author’ to discover other works by that writer.”
Knox also noted that “a new rule has been introduced for publishing novels.”
“Now, users can publish a novel only if it features at least one of their own custom AI characters,” Knox explained. “Novels populated with other users’ AI characters will remain private. You can also visit a Kyn’s profile and see their previously published posts under ‘Writings.’”
The recent upgrades mean “the Kyn adoption process has been improved,” as well.
“Now, when an AI companion changes owners, it’s unpublished posts, diaries and private media are removed,” Knox wrote. “Only published material like videos, music and novels will be transferred with the Kyn to the new owner.”
The platform now offers “consistent character limits across languages,” as well.
“The character limits for image prompts, chat profile names, and bios now work consistently across writing systems,” Knox reported. “Whether you write in Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Arabic, or Russian, you receive the same character limits. Chat profiles with Japanese, Arabic or other non-Latin names can also be created and edited.”
In terms of chat improvements, Knox wrote that for users accessing Soulkyn AI via multiple devices, “our developers have fixed an ongoing reply issue.” Namely, “when users stop a reply on one device, it no longer leaves a stuck “Thinking…” bubble on another device that has the same chat open.”
Soulkyn has also enacted a new requirement for gifting souls.
“When gifting souls, a reason of up to 200 characters is required,” Knox noted. “If the reason is missing or too long, users will receive immediate feedback telling them why it failed. No more ‘try again later.’”
Finally, there are the browsing enhancements and other small changes.
“The Realistic or Anime filter now stays selected when you open a Kyn and come back,” Knox wrote. “The Soulkyn AI homepage now displays profiles for all AI RPG Kyns, with sorting options for Popularity, Usage, and Newest for easy searching. Other AI roleplay improvements include expandable ‘Show more’ scenario lists in group chats, a correctly sized ‘Add by Slug’ button, and a smaller video tip on My Kyns with a clearer ‘Don’t show again’ button.”
