pornboxd.com, described as “a free site for discovering and tracking VR adult videos, built in the style of Letterboxd,” now lists over 44,000 VR and AR videos from 136 studios, the site said in a release issued today. According to the announcement, “about 17,000 are JAV VR videos from Japanese studios.”
The announcement noted that “every actor, studio and tag has its own page” on the site and “every video page links to the studio’s own site where the video can be watched.”
“Members can rate and review videos, track the actors, studios and directors they like, and make lists that anyone can browse,” the company added. “The catalog can be filtered to straight, gay or trans videos. For about 8,000 videos, a timeline shows where each section of the video starts.”
“VR videos are spread across more than a hundred studio sites, and none of them help you keep track of what you’ve already watched,” noted a spokesperson for pornboxd. “We wanted one place to find VR videos and remember which ones were worth it.”
The announcement explained that pornboxd.com does not host videos. Rather, the site “sends viewers to the studios that make them, and it has no banner ads or popups.”
In the announcement, pornboxd said the rapid expansion of the site, which first launched in April, “reflects how fast VR is growing.”
“Among the studios pornboxd tracks, 6,035 VR videos came out in 2025, up from 4,155 in 2020,” the announcement noted. “Videos made for passthrough, which place the performer in the viewer’s own room through the headset’s cameras, went from 76 in 2020 to 717 in 2025.”
This growth is also a function of improvements in VR hardware, pornboxd observed.
“Headsets are getting lighter and smaller, with sharper screens, and studios release more VR content every year,” the site’s spokesperson said. “Some studios now make volumetric 6DOF videos that you can walk around in instead of only turning your head. We think more people will watch adult content this way, and they will need a good way to find it.”
