Performer Bill Bailey has passed away in Mexico City.
Bailey, age 38, had traveled with his partner and fiancee AJ Applegate to the adult convention Expo Sexo y Erotismo 2019. The convention was held from March 1 through 3 at the Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City.
Bailey’s death occurred after the final night of Expo at the Grand Prix Hotel, which is located in the neighborhood of Iztacalco and near the Palacio de los Deportes.
A report via Telediario.mx — Warning, graphic images — says “a man of about 40 years, died after falling from the fourth level of the hotel where he was staying… apparently it was a fight that caused the fall.” Footage shows paramedics transporting Bailey’s body at approximately 3:00 a.m. CST on Monday, March 4. Additional details from Mexican authorities are forthcoming.
Bailey, who was originally from Tennessee and entered the industry in 2009, was well-liked within the community. He had a reputation for being reliable and good to work with and, according to IAFD, had performed in over 1700 scenes.
In addition to Bailey’s passing being extremely tragic, his death is certainly a significant blow to the community of men performers in the industry. Bailey was one of a small number of people capable of doing this work, and his loss will most certainly be felt by his peers.
