CANCUN, Mexico – T-girl Nicole Montero is more than a simple shemale performer. Although her striking looks and hot-chili personality have contributed to the popularity of her website, LatinaTranny.com, Montero also has other talents up her capable sleeves. Since YNOT last spoke with her in 2010, she has made an impressive name for herself not only in front of and behind the camera, but also as a guitarist for the band Edonis. Overall, she’s one smart cookie.
We caught up with Montero in Cancun, where she was relaxing for a few days before heading to Mexico City to participate in Expo SexMex, a “convention of XXX stars” taking place Aug. 2-4. Montero, a fan favorite in Mexico, is one of the convention’s featured guests, billed as “la tranny más famosa de América Latina” (the most famous tranny from Latin America).
YNOT: So, how have you been?
Nicole Montero: I have been very busy with my new projects. I am shooting a lot of porn with transsexual girls and doing some webcams.
I just landed in Mexico today. It is still early here and it is freaking hot.
Tomorrow I am going to the beach to get some color. On the weekend, I am going to Mexico City for the Expo SexMex convention. I am so excited to be with all the American and Hispanic porn stars.
You have been busy on the web, as well, most recently with the launch of your new site SheLesbianPOV.com. Tell us about that.
It is a new concept inside the shemale niche. It is like a sub-niche, where I get blowjobs from the most beautiful trannies in South America, shot POV style.
I started shooting in Argentina and Chile, and I am planning to film more movies in Brazil and Mexico. It’s real POV tranny action.

The street stuff is easier to shoot than renting a huge house with spoiled, stupid models, and I have the feeling people like the reality content the most, so it is a win-win situation.
Overall, what is your perspective on the shemale porn sector? Is it growing? Contracting? Becoming “mainstream?”
Growing? No. Some sites die; some sites are born. I saw four brand-new sites open in July, but I have also seen many full programs dying.
There are no contracts. The models are freelance, as usual. In Brazil, they are very professional and they don’t beg for extra money like performers from other Latin American countries.
So is tranny porn becoming mainstream? I see something of that, yes, but I think trannies are very far from mainstream. Still, one of the trannies attending the expo this weekend is performing on national TV in Mexico.
How are things going with Edonis?
Doing well! We have a gig on Aug. 17 in Santiago de Chile with a new band called BossRock.
We are planning to record our second album in 2014, 11 years after our debut album. With those numbers, we sound legendary. [She laughs.]
How has all this success affected your life?
Zero effect. Guys are too shy, and I don’t know why that is.
Once I was on a very popular webcam website chatting and a guy said, “Hey, I saw you on the street today.” I asked, “Why didn’t you say hi?” His only reply? “Oh, um, I don’t know.”
This happens to me at airports, as well. Fans behave very stupid sometimes in real life.
