How to Make Your Adult Site More Valuable – Part One

Bruce the Adult Site Broker, Owner and CEO of Adult Site Broker and Host of the Adult Site Broker Talk podcastThis new series of articles will help you to make your site more valuable and, in the process, make you more money along the way.

If you have an adult site, I’m sure someday you’d like to move on and cash in on your investment. That’s where we come in at Adult Site Broker. But long before selling a site, you should do everything possible to make it more valuable. Every single day, I see sites that are underperforming. And it doesn’t have to be this way. There are some straightforward, basic things you can do to make your site more valuable.

First and foremost, maximize the value of your traffic by optimizing conversions. Traffic is costly, whether from search engines, review sites, or affiliates. You’ve invested heavily, so ensure that when visitors arrive, they’re given every opportunity to take action—whether that’s spending money or engaging with your content.

For a paysite, this means offering diverse payment options to cater to a global audience. While credit cards dominate in North America, other regions prefer alternative methods. In Europe, ACH transfers and debit cards are common, while in developing countries, mobile payments are the norm. Research the payment preferences in the regions where your traffic originates. This simple step can lead to higher sales. The worst scenario is losing a ready-to-buy customer because their preferred payment method isn’t available. If you need advice on payment solutions, feel free to reach out through our website.

Improving the user experience is equally critical. Your site should be visually appealing and intuitive to navigate. With so many options available, a confusing site will drive visitors away. Too often, websites lack straightforward navigation, forcing users to struggle to complete simple tasks. Keep it simple. Before rolling out updates, ask friends to test your site. Developers often think differently from end-users, so it’s crucial to get feedback from real people—just like your potential visitors. If you leave it to your developer to design the site, you won’t be happy with what you get out the other end. Give them plenty of direction on how you want the site to look. Don’t just say “give me a site”.

Next, make a compelling offer. Whether you’re selling a product or encouraging visitors to contact you, the offer needs to be clear and appealing. If you’re selling, streamline the buying process. Make it easy for visitors to purchase and exit while guiding them with product recommendations. Amazon is a master at this, using AI to suggest relevant products. Affordable AI solutions are available—consider incorporating one to enhance the shopping experience. So, for instance, if you have a paysite, give them more of what they’ve already viewed. This will give them a much better user experience.

Avoid cluttering your site with unnecessary buttons, images, or distractions. The most successful sites are simple, guiding users toward the desired action. Keep things clean and simple—it’s not as difficult as it seems.

Lastly, think through the buying process as if you were the customer. If you can do that, you’ll build a site you’re proud of and one that converts effectively.
