This week, legendary, UK Producer Terry Stephens who started out selling porn on VHS when the business was highly illegal, is the newest guest on Adult Site Broker Talk.

Stephens has had an illustrious career.

Maverick producer Stephens, ask Naked Truth Guy, got his first opportunity to make an amateur movie after a chance encounter with a customer. It was a couple of years later when he gained recognition as an amateur producer on the popular Viewers Wives series from Your Choice in Holland while still doing the rounds selling videos by mail order and door to door got him raided. A 2-year court case ensued.

Meanwhile Terry was gaining recognition with his new One-Eyed Jack gonzo series of movies that earned him a 7-movie distribution deal to produce new movies for Extreme Associates in the US, but the company had problems of its own and stopped at 5 titles.

Terry teamed up with a partner to launch Wrist Action Entertainment a DVD distribution company supplying sex shops across the UK. The problems with a newfound industry gone legal had problems that required a concerted effort to set standards and UK Adult Producers was born from a chance gathering of producers to form an association under the name of “Producers for A Pint.”

UKAP (as it came to be known later) engineered the much-needed changes that were required in a largely unregulated business which later found itself defending the right to produce adult content for sale in the UK. It faced numerous challenges from the R18 Online, ATVOD and Age Verification. Meanwhile Stephens was gaining momentum with his award-winning series Real Couples (which was featured on Playboys Sexcetera). During this time, he was juggling productions, the daily politics of performers, and his commitment to the association while staying ahead of all the changes that come with a business in a constant state of flux.

After years of being a secretary to the various administrations over a 10-year period, Terry became the default chairman for the full 5-year term and oversaw the UKAP Awards from 2014- 2018. Since the pandemic, Terry has been living in Bulgaria and continues to monetize the business he created while also promoting his website.
