LOS ANGELES – As porn goes, Jennifer Best is a newbie, having been in the industry for only about a year. Yet, in every appearance so far — for studios including Brazzers, Filly Films and Penthouse — she has turned heads.
The most amazing fact about the vibrant, busty blonde? In an industry that prizes youth above almost everything else, Best is 41 years old and not at all shy about admitting her age.
YNOT.com: You didn’t begin working as a model until well after most women — in both mainstream and adult modeling — are considered over the hill, right?
Jennifer Best: I started modeling at 37, which turned into mainstream TV and film work and adult films at 40. I am on a liberation quest and enjoying life.
You started out as a mainstream actress and Screen Actors Guild member. Would we recall any of your mainstream roles?
First, I did Entourage, Shameless and took so many “extra” roles. Then it took so many chances for me to get the nerve to speak for my SAG card, but I have it now.
How did you get into adult?
Nica Noelle from Girl Candy Films offered me a role, and I decided for my 40th birthday to go for it.
You’ve only been in adult for a year, yet you’ve already done a lot of work, haven’t you?
Yes. I have been so lucky with the help of my great friends OC Modeling and The Rub PR. Both helped me get so many fun jobs.
At the same time, you are still doing a lot of mainstream work, though.
I continue to do mainstream film and modeling. I believe you can do both. Most people in mainstream have been very supportive.
What is the hottest scene you’ve done to date?
One Night Stand with Katsuni was mind-blowing, but I have a few new scenes coming out that will top it. But the girl-girl scenes are always the hottest.
Is it tough to balance mainstream and adult work?
Time management is the hardest part. Mainstream auditions keep me busy. I think I really need a commercial agent.
What’s next in your career?
More commercial work, softcore, and of course feature adult films. And hopefully more nominations and maybe even some wins. I was nominated for Hottest MILF in the fan-based voting for the AVN Awards.
What do few people know about you?
By the age of 32, I had travelled the world, filling up two passports with stamps. Someday I will write a book about all of my life experiences.
