Last week I wrote an article about using free video feeds on your site. This time I’ll show you a few places to find free photo content – and leave you with a great content-boosting “Thanksgiving” present for your AVS or pay site! Enjoy!

Using free photo (and video) providers is an excellent way to boost your site’s content without increasing your overhead or bandwidth use. In fact, you could easily make a “warning” page with a few banners and text links, and link your “enter” button to one of these photo providers to make a simple “free site.” Here are a few providers to check out. The best use of these free content sites is as a marketing tool to boost your AVS site membership sales. Consider that many AVS sites offer only 30-50 pix. Trying to convince someone to join with such a low volume of content can be challenging, especially when you are not only competing with other AVS sites, but with pay sites as well for the surfer’s dollar!

Hitting the Motherload
I thought that I could make more AVS sales that way too. But I wanted to find an easy way to add ALL of this free content – and much more, to ALL of my AVS sites. I didn’t want a maintenance nightmare where I had to check dozens of links daily, or worry about upgrades and adding new content. What I wanted was a high quality free content plug-in, a daily updated e-zine that offered a broad array of the kinds of content surfers demand.
