MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The first annual Grand Strand Affair (GSA) promises that “kinksters looking for something classy by the beach are in for a treat” as the event gears up for its debut edition at a seaside hotel at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, this November 19-22.
“The Grand Strand Affair offers four floors of convention space, two dungeon play areas, and a rope dungeon, all in a luxurious atmosphere right by the ocean,” the event’s launch announcement explained. “Social activities include a cigar social, high tea, and a gaming room. GSA also offers BDSM classes, a curated selection of vendors and a fetish fashion show.”
Anne Bryne, the producer of the GSA, said the event is “here to offer a supportive safe space for kinky experiences.”
“We welcome those new to BDSM, power players and those who are all degrees in between, in a supportive environment and an inclusive community,” Bryne added.
According to the announcement, there are over forty slots for classes in BDSM and sexuality lined up for the event, and presenter submissions are now being accepted. One presenter already confirmed is the United Kingdom’s John Pendal, International Mr. Leather 2003.
Vendors confirmed for the event’s shopping area include Kinky Creations Studio, Regal Rainment, Bound by Jay, Soaring Eagle, Chromaknotz and The Dungeon Store.
“The holidays will be around the corner, but you’ll be pleased to know that in November, Myrtle Beach offers lovely weather, with averages during the day in the low 70s, and 50s during the evening,” Bryne noted. “Every guest room in the host hotel has a gorgeous ocean view, and the beach is a short walk away from the show.”
The announcement added that GSA guests can also order “concierge dungeon service.” For a fee, couples can “book 90 minutes play time in a dungeon, complete with a butler to deliver their toy bags to and from the play area, and cleanup is provided by a French Maid on staff.”
