YNOT – Germany and Austria, already among the largest mobile markets in Europe, stand poised to grow even more rapidly than expected, according to mobile adult affiliate program Affil4You.

And consumers in both regions are hungry for adult entertainment, Affil4You Managing Director Joey Gabra said Friday.

According to Gabra, market research consistently ranks Germany’s mobile consumer base and revenues the largest in Europe. In 2011, the country’s mobile penetration reached more than 135 percent; the most recent market figures indicate about 115 million Germans subscribe to some kind of mobile service. Rapidly expanding 3G and emerging 4G capabilities in the country — coupled with corresponding higher-tech devices and increased transmission speeds — are expected to prevent saturation and in fact grow Germany’s user base and revenues.

Though the country is smaller, Austria’s figures are equally impressive, Gabra noted. According to the latest Wireless Intelligence data, the country is approaching 150-percent market penetration, making Austria the fourth most-penetrated mobile market in Western Europe behind only Finland, Portugal and Italy. The Austrian market is still managing to grow thanks to constantly advancing technology that enables more than half of Austria’s mobile consumers to take advantage of 3G connections.
