YNOT – Gay.xxx launched Saturday, offering consumers gay adult content from five studios: Bel Ami, Corbin Fisher, Dominic Ford, TitanMen and Kink Men. The website allows consumers to view scenes from 20 minutes to more than 60 minutes in length for $7.95 each.
Liberty Media Holdings, owner and developer of the site, calls the financial model a micropayment system. The site is the second micropayment venue in LMH’s portfolio and was developed after the first, CF Select, proved popular with fans.
“While individual membership subscriptions continue to be the best value for fans, Gay.xxx gives consumers a chance to sample other types of content they might not have tried before, or find scenes starring their favorite actors,” said LMH Chief Executive Officer Jason Gibson.
He also said the company plans to add more studio partners to the content lineup during the next phase of development, which will include forums, chat rooms and reviews where fans may interact.
“Our goal all along has been if it has to do with gay sexuality, it belongs on Gay.xxx,” Gibson said.
Keith Webb, vice president of TitanMen parent company Titan Media, said his studio is eager to see how end-users react to the new concept.
“If you make great content and make it easy for the consumer to buy, you’ve got a winning combination,” he said. “Micropayments combined with downloadable goods is an important part of the new dynamic. Gay.xxx provides a fresh and forward way to reach new audiences for our products and allows us to work with someone we both trust and admire.”
3D gay adult filmmaker Dominic Ford said he looks forward to reaching new customers.
“We are very excited to join similarly high-end brands at Gay.xxx,” he said. “We look forward to reaching even more customers through the site’s micropayment model, and we are excited by the large variety of content the site offers.”
