CANOGA PARK, CA – In a press release issued earlier this week, the Free Speech Coalition (FSC) called on all adult content studios to participate in Freedom Streams ‘07, a fundraising effort the FSC terms “one of the most important adult-oriented events of 2007.”“After last year’s enormously successful inaugural fundraiser, FSC has again teamed up with the Internet’s fastest growing Pay-Per-Minute site, HotMovies.com, to raise money for the FSC’s fight against unfair governmental restrictions and prosecutions that rely on 18 USC 2257 and even more stringent litigation and legislation,” the FSC stated in its press release.

For the FreedomStreams event, HotMovies.com designates one day – in the case of 2007, it’s Sunday, April 15 – on which participating adult studios donate their earnings from HotMovies.com sales to the FSC. In return, HotMovies.com matches the amount of money raised, dollar for dollar, with its own contribution.

According to the FSC, over 80 HotMovies.com studios participated in the event, raising thousands of dollars for the FSC. Sunshyne Video, ErosArts, Slippery Cat, Dave Cummings and LRI are among the studios that have committed to participating in FreedomStreams this year; the FSC and HotMovies are now calling on all HotMovies content providers to do the same.
