“If you value safety and security over everything else, you aren’t going to have much of a life,” says Begin. “The masses commuting to jobs they hate, day after day, week after week, year after year – it reminds me of watchingThe Walking Dead, because these people are just living for the weekends, if that.
“The idea of positive thinking is good at its core, but the way it usually manifests is people saying ‘I’m great!’ with big, fake smiles while they’re really dying deep down inside. You’ve got to get honest – with others and mostly yourself – about how you really feel to actually get to a place of fulfillment and happiness.
FEARLESS co-founder Dave Stultz also adds that a lack of decisiveness can keep even the strongest ambitions from setting sail. “Worrying about every little decision makes it really hard to get anywhere. You’ve got to be willing to fail and make the wrong decision – a lot. And indecision is also a trait that will turn women off from men in the blink of an eye.”
