LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Some dares are easier to face than others. I note this because I’ve just learned that this Halloween, Elegant Angel “dares fans to watch” The Legend of the Werewolf starring Katie Kush and Alex Jones (no, not THAT Alex Jones).
Challenge accepted! Eventually, I mean. There’s a lot on my watch list, to be fair.
Written and directed by Sid Knox, The Legend of the Werewolf is the latest entry in the Nerdy Girls line from Elegant Angel, one they describe as “a must-see for horror fans.”
“Kush and Jones star as a new couple on their first date, with Jones taking Kush for a spooky walk under the full moon as he tells her scary stories,” the film’s release announcement explains. “He leads her to a haunted barn, where legend has it that a werewolf would bring his victims to tear them limb from limb… and a perfect place to engage in first date sex.”
Call me a traditionalist, but to me, the perfect place to engage in first date sex is a place where nothing is rumored to be tearing people limb from limb. I like my limbs right where they are, thank you very much. But to each his own, I suppose.
“Getting to play around with the character and creating a sexy yet fun scene is different from what I typically feel I get to do,” Kush said. “I had so much fun creating this scene with the male talent Alex Jones. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did creating it!”
Director Sid Knox said he “wanted to shoot a homage to the old thriller films, where a guy and girl go find the scariest place to bang.”
“I mean, seriously, what could possibly happen in an old haunted barn on a night with a full moon? Huge thanks to Alex and Katie for buying into the campy script and shooting late night,” Knox added. “They had this long one take walking down this dirt trail, and they did it first take! This was by far one of my favorite scenes to shoot of all time.”
