ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Adult clip-selling platform Clips.com has launched a new feature, Audio Only uploads, which enables creators to sell recordings in their existing stores without making a video.
“Creators can upload an audio file, set their price, and use our custom preview editor to choose exactly what customers hear before they buy,” noted Neil, owner of Clips.com. “An audio recording can stand on its own as a product, giving creators another way to earn from their work.”
According to the announcement, Clips.com customers “can listen to the creator’s chosen preview and purchase the full recording through the same Clips.com store where they buy clips.”
Creators can start uploading audio now at Clips.com Studio. The announcement noted that the feature’s development began with a suggestion from creator Dr. Lovejoy, known on X as @FemdomTherapy.
Launched in July, the operators of Clips.com say it has one goal: “making it easier for creators to build sustainable businesses while giving customers a faster, more intuitive way to discover exactly what they’re looking for.”
Shortly after the platform’s official launch, Clips.com announced a lifetime referral program in which producers, creators, and studios earn 10% of gross sales, excluding taxes, from every customer they refer for life. They also earn 10% of a referred creator’s net payouts for the first 12 months and 5% thereafter for life.
“Many creators have spent years building loyal customer bases without sharing in the revenue those customers generate for a platform,” Neil noted at the time of the referral program’s launch. “They may be longtime customers to you, but they’re new to Clips.com. By bringing them with you, that existing audience becomes a new revenue stream.”
Earlier this month, Clips.com announced the launch of “StorePlus,” a feature which enables creators to “offer subscriptions to a selection of their content alongside individual clip sales,” as the company explained in the new feature’s launch announcement.
