It is simply a general guideline for you to follow when first delving into the business. It is our feeling that if you can see the big picture in the beginning, it makes it much easier to focus in on the details as they come. This guide will not launch your site to success, but will simply give you a blueprint to get your site up and running if you have no previous experience. There are no clear instructions given, only fingers pointed in the right general directions.

Finding a good domain can be a lot more work than you might think. If you want the name of your site to match your domain name, then you’re really in for a surprise! Just about any sexually oriented combination of words you’ll think of is already registered, so try to be original. you need to keep in mind that if you keep typing in "porn.com" and "sex.com", you’ll be trying all day, But it is fairly important that you keep searching until you find something that surfers will click on if they see it in a link. The only suggestion I have here is to keep experimenting. If you need to know if the domain you are after is available, you can check it out by doing a whois search at Network Solutions . This is also where you will register your domain, but typically your hosting company will take care of that for you.

Now, you need some content. This part is up to you. You will need to decide on a theme for your site (lesbians, hardcore, Asians), and then you will need the pictures, video, or whatever you decide to use. If you have a camera, a scanner, and a few open-minded friends, then you’re in business. The fact is, with some imagination, you can come up with the content. Click here for a list of companies who will provide you with licensed pictures, streaming video, chat rooms, or just about anything else you would like to include on your site. Any of these things combined with some diligent work will more than pay for themselves very quickly.

Believe it or not, you can slap an ill-designed page together in no time, and still make really good money. That is how large the porn industry is on the Internet. Throw a few good pictures in there, and you might be able to quit your day job. Put together a site with animations, eye catching colors, and naked women sitting on your logo, and you’ve made a killing. In reality, it’s the traffic that earns you money, which means it’s all in how you promote, not in how your site is designed. But this does not mean that a neat and professional design is not important. If a visitor comes to your site, and it looks like a 3 year old designed it, they are going to hit that back button very quickly. If you’re new to HTML, then you’ll want to check out our HTML Resources page, which will teach you the fundamentals of website design.

With millions of sites now on the Internet, and thousands being added every day, servers have become a dime a dozen. Unfortunately, most of them are afraid of having their names associated with adult oriented sites. On top of that, many servers cannot handle the bandwidth usage of an adult site. Therefore, you must either find a hosting company that exclusively hosts adult sites, or at least is adult-site-friendly. If you are not sure, read their policies page. Be sure to visit our Adult Site Hosting section for a list of companies that will host your adult site. If you’re on a budget, we’ve also included a list of free hosts. Of course, not much in this world is absolutely free. Most of them require that you have their banners on the top of all of your pages. Also, you usually cannot have your own domain, and the servers are typically slow and unpredictable. It might be a way to get started, but we do not suggest it. Follow our advice – go ahead and invest in a premium host and a domain – it’ll pay off in the long run.

Putting Some Cash In Your Pocket is our favorite part, and the options are endless. First, there is the sponsorship program. Companies will pay you just to direct your traffic to them by paying you several cents per unique hit they receive from your site, or by paying you a commission from each sign-up they receive from your site. Age Verification Services work like a cross between a sponsorship program and a paysite. You use their service to restrict access to your site, and for every person that signs up to see your content pages, you make a commission.

Finally, there is the pay site. This is THE money making solution, but is also the most expensive. It is going to cost you thousands of dollars in content if you’re going to charge for access. After you have made your investment, however, this could possibly become your ticket to making the big money. If you don’t know how to handle the programming or the accounting that is necessary to bill your customers and protect your membership area from non-members, then we would suggest visiting the Transaction Processing Services section of this site.
