Adult industry mental health nonprofit Pineapple Support has appointed Athena Bellamy as its latest brand ambassador, the organization announced today, noting that the adult performer, mentor, and mental health advocate “joins a growing team of ambassadors dedicated to promoting mental wellness and supporting performer wellbeing across the industry.”
In the announcement, Pineapple Support said Bellamy is “widely recognized for her self-care advocacy and has created transformative tools for sex workers, including The Camming Compass workbook.”
“Supporting performers’ mental health is at the heart of everything I do,” Bellamy said. “I’ve seen firsthand how isolating this industry can feel, and I want people to know they don’t have to navigate those challenges alone.”
“Athena’s advocacy work is incredibly aligned with our mission,” said Leya Tanit, founder of Pineapple Support. “She brings a powerful combination of lived experience, professional insight, and a deep commitment to uplifting her peers. We’re thrilled to have her join our Pineapple Support ambassador team.”
Founded by Tanit in 2018 after a tragic series of losses within the adult industry community stemming from depression and other mental health struggles, Pineapple Support is a qualified 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. To date, the organization reports that it has “connected over 16,000 adult performers to free and low-cost therapy, counseling, and emotional support.” In the years since its launch, Pineapple Support has organized a series of both online and in-person support groups and discussions, including at trade conferences and other adult industry events.
Previously announced brand ambassadors for Pineapple Support have included Chad Borley, Austin Ponce, Natassia Dreams, Josy Black, Demora Avarice and Reagan Foxx.
