LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) is pleased to announce its participation in VENUS Berlin, October 22–25.
Now celebrating its 30th year, ASACP is an award-winning, globally recognized, member- and sponsor-supported nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting online child safety by proactively helping parents and businesses alike protect children from online harms.
ASACP collaborates with international businesses, law enforcement, and digital media stakeholders to combat online child exploitation and sexual abuse. A key part of its mission is to educate the industry on the importance of online child protection, explore solutions, and address current factors, especially as new age- and identity-verification mandates are being implemented. The organization primarily uses participation in major industry events to share knowledge and foster dialogue.
An ASACP Crusader Member, VENUS Berlin is Europe’s leading international trade fair and festival for the adult entertainment and lifestyle industry. Since 1997, the event has connected creators, platforms, studios, brands, technology providers, payment companies, media representatives, and fans worldwide. Each year, more than 270 exhibitors from over 40 countries and tens of thousands of visitors gather in Berlin to explore trends, innovations, and business opportunities.
Beyond showcasing products, services, and entertainment, VENUS serves as an important platform for industry dialogue, education, and collaboration. The event brings together stakeholders from across the adult ecosystem to discuss innovation, developments in the creator economy, compliance, payment solutions, age verification, online safety, and the future of digital adult entertainment.
According to VENUS Berlin rep Walter Hasenclever, responsible business practices and protecting minors remain fundamental priorities for the industry.

ASACP’s Fundraising Director Michelle Marriott will attend the event on behalf of the association, where she will continue the European outreach she recently undertook in Amsterdam and Prague.
Underscoring its support, the event’s promoters are generously underwriting Marriott’s hotel accommodations and travel expenses to and from Berlin, VENUS’s venue city, helping the association carry out its international outreach efforts.
Henning thanked VENUS Berlin, emphasizing that ASACP will establish and renew connections with key industry leaders and newcomers alike across different market segments, some of which are unreachable at other events.

Part of ASACP’s goal at these events is to raise awareness of its free child protection resources for parents and industry operators, including a broad range of Best Practices tailored to specific market segments, and a comprehensive Code of Ethics for content creators and website and app publishers. These vital tools empower companies of all sizes to prevent minors and sensitive viewers from accessing age-restricted materials — but these tools are only possible through the continued support of ASACP’s donors.
Among ASACP’s most notable achievements are its RTA (Restricted To Adults) meta-labeling system, which prevents children from accessing adult-oriented web pages and apps, and its CSAM Reporting Tipline, which has received and processed more than 1.3 million reports since its inception and continues to serve as a vital global resource.
