YNOT – The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection has named digital forensics expert Tim Henning as its new executive director. Henning succeeds former executive director Joan Irvine, who left the non-profit organization in April in order to become executive director for the International Foundation for Online Responsibility, the organization tasked with establishing business practices within the new dot-xxx domain space.

Henning, who has managed the development of ASACP’s infrastructure and reporting hotline for 15 years, was appointed interim executive director upon Irvine’s departure.

“It was 1996 when ASACP was founded and I began my service to the, at the time, grassroots organization,” Henning said. “Since then I have seen many evolutions, faced many challenges and it has been my honor to realize the achievement of many goals that have greatly benefitted both child protection efforts and the online adult entertainment industry.

“I am very excited to lead ASACP into the future and navigate the challenges that lie ahead while continuing to grow and expand our efforts. ASACP is something for all of us to be proud of, standing as the world’s only child protection organization funded by the adult entertainment industry.

“I want to personally thank all who have supported ASACP past, present and future,” Henning concluded. “It is you who have and will continue to make the impossible, possible.”

Henning’s first official act as executive director will be to attend the YNOT Summit June 23-25 in San Francisco, where he will spread the latest news about what the association is doing today to help companies within the adult entertainment industry protect their businesses by helping to protect children from age-inappropriate content on the Internet. As a measure of support, YNOT Summit underwrote Henning’s attendance.
