This week In The Spotlight we have Mark Stephenson, President of Internet Media Corporation. Many of you might know Mark as the operator of affiliate program WildOnCash.com. Mark and his crew are some fun-loving guys who also know how to get the job done and put out a high quality product. Not only that, you can always count on WildOnCash snapping hundreds of candid and not so candid photos with each Webmaster event they attend…
LAJ: Welcome Mark! Tell everyone about what you do up there in Vancouver!
Mark: We film and produce original content for our websites, for sale and for distribution via the Internet, and have been in business since 2001. I have been with the company since it’s inception. I oversee the company’s operation as well as manage new business development. I am also directly involved in the day-to-day management of WildOnCash.com. My responsibilities include traffic trades, exits, mailers and Webmaster relations.

LAJ: What types of sites and content do you offer?
LAJ: You know… I’ve been a big fan of CumFaceCuties since I first heard about it. Your promotional video on the WildOnCash website is hilarious! It seems to me like a lot of your content has a fun edge to it.
Mark: Content is king in this business. We recognized this early on and initiated a plan to produce exclusive content that is fun, fresh and hardcore. So far, it has been a huge success with surfers and Webmasters alike.
LAJ: That’s great to hear! How do you stay ahead of your competitors?
Mark: As far as competitors go, we prefer to call them strategic alliances. We work closely with other companies in the industry, whether we are trading traffic, selling content or providing custom video shoots for other companies. There is always some type of mutual benefit or synergism to every relationship.
LAJ: Very interesting… strategic alliance…
What were you doing before you got involved in the industry?
Mark: My background is in the mainstream Internet. Specifically, the development of customized e-business solutions for financial services clients. When the dot com bust started happening I transitioned into the adult Internet and created Internet Media Corporation.
Here we are, less than two years later, and Internet Media Corporation is steadily growing and expanding.

LAJ: What would you be doing if you didn’t get out of the mainstream in time before the bottom fell out?
Mark: Probably working as a squeegee boy. Do you have those in the states or is that a Canadian phenomenon? Realistically, who knows… after all, who would have thought that I’d be doing this!
LAJ: Ha! We have squeegee boys/men here in the U.S. More so in the colder climates is my guess.
So you plan on sticking around the industry for a while I take it…
Mark: I love this industry. I have never met so many great people in one industry and I have never had this much fun with a job. I really enjoy the Internet business model, and hey, how can you not enjoy the real live models?
LAJ: Are your “non-porn” friends jealous?
Mark: They are waiting for me to set them up with their favorite pornstars – keep dreaming guys!
LAJ: Got some words of wisdom?
Mark: Lead by example. And to all the newbies, I say you’re in the right place. Pick your niche, be persistent and don’t be afraid to ask for help or advice.

LAJ: You had mentioned earlier that you are going to launch a content plug-in soon for paysite operators?
Mark: Yes, our new video plug-in will be available in a few weeks. We will also be releasing some fresh new sites with never before seen reality content – straight and gay sites! Filming is underway and we anticipate that these sites will be ready in early spring.

LAJ: Reality content certainly has been growing in popularity for some time now, that’s for sure. Huge demand for that.
What do you do when you just want to get the hell away from it all?
Mark: I love skiing, snowboarding and traveling – anywhere and everywhere!

Yes, I’ve noticed over the last year you definitely have done some traveling and got around to a lot of the Webmaster events.
