At the virtual YNOT Summit earlier this month, a panel of five experienced and knowledgeable cam models discussed the fundamentals of adult cosplay and the many benefits of cosplay as a means of connecting with fans and encouraging engagement.

The panelists included Raven Noir, Catjira, Ellie Idol, OmankoVivi and Little Puck, each an accomplished model, content creator and experienced cosplayer. After briefly introducing themselves and talking about their personal favorite characters to cosplay, the panel addresses a variety of salient questions for those who want to add cosplay to their repertoire.

How do you transition from non-adult cosplay of the sort one sees at Comic-Con to adult-specific cosplay? Is there a risk in cosplaying a character with which you’re not familiar? How can you get up to speed on a character quickly if you want to avoid the pitfalls of cosplaying the unfamiliar? How do you encourage your fans to be passionate about the same characters, games, movies, etc. that inspire your choice of characters?
