LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Adult performer and fashion designer Ebony Mystique has joined forces with sex work activist Vanessa Eve and fellow performers/models Natassia Dreams and Ana Foxxx for the LA model casting call, round one, which takes place tomorrow, Friday March 17, at an undisclosed, private location.
XFASHION LA is described in the announcement as “the brainchild of Ebony Mystique and Vanessa Eve.”
“The event will celebrate diversity and highlight community members and independent artists,” the group stated in their announcement. “At the conclusion of the fashion showcase, guests are invited to mingle and connect at XFASHION LA’s post-show social mixer. The intent is to bring the community together for a good cause, raise up BIPOC members and inspire attendees through fashion and the arts.”
Vanessa Eve said she and her collaborators are “thrilled to be moving into this phase of planning XFASHION LA.”
“This event is truly a community effort at its core, and that includes the models who will be representing our talented designers,” Eve added. “We want to see diversity with a capital-D throughout the show, and we welcome adult industry models of all looks and sizes to come to our casting call on March 17th for an audition.”
In the announcement, XFASHION LA said it has a “strong preference for models who work within the adult industry,” meaning “adult entertainers/performers/influencers/talent/professionals.”
Non-adult industry models are required to attend a casting call. Those interested in participating must be 21 years of age or older and either local to the Los Angeles area, or in the area on the dates of the audition and fashion show. The group specified that all “sizes, all genders are welcome to attend the casting call.” Interested models can sign up for the casting call by going to xfashionla.com.
The organizers asked that models submit their comp cards prior to their audition. Models can email the card to casting@xfashionla.com as an attachment or link to a digital file. “We have expanded our core event committee to include Ana Foxxx and Natassia Dreams, individuals who have modeled a high standard of excellence throughout their illustrious careers,” Eve said. “We feel that it is paramount to continue to raise up BIPOC performers and creators through opportunity. We decided to put our superpowers together to support the passions and aspirations of one of our own members while reinvesting back into our community in a creative and meaningful way. One hundred percent of ticket proceeds and other fundraising modalities will be donated to the Free Speech Coalition- an adult trade organization whose mission is to protect the rights and freedoms of workers and businesses in the adult industry.”
The XFASHION LA Event Committee is made up of Ebony Mystique, Vanessa Eve, Natassia Dreams and Ana Foxxx and the designs worn are by Mimi H. (aka Ebony Mystique) and Sir Joe Exclusive.
