WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. – Depending on how he feels about porn, Sonic the Hedgehog may feel like adult studio WoodRocket and Pornhub have joined forces with the evil Doctor Eggman – because the companies have just announced the release of Sonic The Vadgehog, WoodRocket porn parody of what the studio termed “one of the most popular video game characters of all time.”
“Grab your controller and get ready to press A-B-A-B-O-R-G-A-S-M,” Woodrocket proclaimed in a statement announcing the release of the parody. “Just in time for Valentine’s Day and the release of the Sonic The Hedgehog movie, Pornhub presents Sonic The Vadgehog.”
Sonic The Vadgehog premiered today on WoodRocket’s Pornhub channel, with “extra-blue extended version” available exclusively on Pornhub Premium. Starring April O’Neil and Lexi Luna, the parody was produced by Lee Roy Myers and directed by Holly G Myers.
The parody is the latest in a long series from WoodRocket, informed by what you might call Lee Roy Myers “(almost) anything goes” ethos. In an interview with YNOT last year, Myers said he tries to “avoid anything that would hurt anyone,” but outside of that consideration, the main question is whether the idea makes his creative team laugh – and whether there’s a market for the parody.
“Usually the way it works is that the whole WoodRocket team discusses movies, shows, games, stage shows that are either out or coming out and whether they are popular enough to parody, first and foremost,” Myers said at the time. “Without an audience, we are just making porn for nobody to masturbate to.”
“After we figure out what makes our ‘Will Probably Have an Audience List’ we discuss whether the storylines or themes give us enough to work with to actually create a parody of it,” Myers added. “Those are the main focusses for us when choosing what to spoof.”
Clearly, as today’s announcement demonstrates, the conclusion following the analysis of Sonic the Hedgehog as a potential target of parody was that it represented fertile ground based on the WoodRocket criteria.
