YNOT – PornTube has updated the affiliate program it launched in December, adding new promotional material and webmaster tools to support its $2-per-1,000-unique-clicks payout. According to a spokesperson, the company solicited affiliate input in order to determine what webmasters wanted.
“Among the biggest complaints expressed by webmasters about other programs was ineffective tracking of unique visitors, and deceiving terms based on the fine print webmasters tend to overlook,” the spokesperson said. “Some do not pay for traffic from all countries; some track uniques in a very tricky way. The PornTube webmaster program pays for traffic from all countries and tracks a 24-hour unique on a per-domain basis.”
In order to convince new affiliates to sign up, the company will give away three iPad 2s via a lottery-style drawing. Existing affiliates receive one lottery ticket for every $100 in traffic they send from July 16 through Aug.15. New affiliates receive three lottery tickets for the first $100 worth of traffic they send.
The PornTube team, led by online adult industry veteran Steve Matthyssen, possesses almost a decade of experience in the affiliate marketing space.
