Former Webcam Execs Launch Kams.com
LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Jeff Wilson, the former Vice President at Flirt4Free, along with other former executives at other cam platforms, have announced the launch of Kams.com, which they described as a “TikTok-style video site for webcam models to promote their live rooms.”
According to the launch announcement, Kams.com is “a mobile web app, racking up over 200,000 video views per day, and free for models to direct traffic to any links they choose.”
“At any given time, over 80-90% of webcam models are in ‘open chat’ searching for customers to pay for private shows.” Wilson said. “Even on good days, webcam models are always looking for ways to increase traffic in their rooms. With more traffic, webcam models have more opportunities to interact with new users and convert them to paying customers.”
Per the announcement, Kams.com is “built for mobile users with fast and easy video loading.”
“Webcam models can list their webcam profile links, social links, or even fan site links on their profiles and Kams.com directs interested customers to those links,” the new platform explained in the announcement. “Each model’s profile is a short link + linktree, so that their live rooms are easy to find. For example, kams.com/EmylieSander.”
“Our system automatically detects if the model is live on any of the major platforms like StripChat or Chaturbate and boosts their most recent video,” Wilson explained. “Our algorithm is looking for signs that the video is engaging and the model is ready to convert customers.”
An alpha version of Kams.com was launched in August of last year. In the official launch announcement, the company explained that the alpha version launched with “minimal features… testing the market and getting feedback from models.”
In February of this year, the Kams team “unveiled their beta platform at Lalexpo using a brand-new codebase, customer accounts, upgraded user experience, and a simple uploading process for models.”
According to the announcement, Kams.com will launch its platform “for general availability at Community Update in Bogota, Colombia.”
“This version already has millions of views per month, but also includes Studio Manager for studios to manage multiple model accounts, user tools like video rating, and a trained sorting algorithm to maximize engagement,” the company explained.
