MONTREAL – About 18 months after it hit the web, multilingual website review destination MrPorn.com has launched an affiliate program. Much like the site itself, the program falls outside the norm.

“Mr Porn’s affiliate program offers revshare payouts through external sponsors and affiliation programs — 50 percent revshare, generally,” co-owner Ciriac Cabrol told YNOT.com. “The program is for webmasters, but also for the fans and affiliate programs.”

Cabrol, who co-founded and co-owns the site with Romaric Durand, said the concept may be a bit uncommon, but it works not only to generate revenue, but also to circulate traffic.

“Mr Porn is always looking for a way to enhance the customer’s experience,” Cabrol said. “We have decided to implement the affiliation program in order to give customers the best experience possible with unique, quality content.

“It is first important to understand that Mr Porn is not paying [affiliates] directly,” he continued. “Instead, affiliates are paid by the sponsors and affiliation programs with which they have subscribed. In Mr Porn’s intranet, you add you ID codes to the different affiliation programs. These programs will pay you for every customer subscription sent through Mr Porn. Webmasters can send their traffic to the pages they want, whether it is a website’s review or the biography of a porn star.”

In fact, one of Mr Porn’s strengths is the site’s multifaceted content. Since its launch in December 2011, the site has published 2,668 website reviews, 4,740 porn star biographies and 1,129 discount offers. Everything is available in English, French and Spanish.

“Our team works tirelessly to add new content regularly,” Cabrol said. “Our objective is to add between 25 and 50 new websites, 50 and 100 porn star biographies and 10 to 20 complete reviews every week. Bottom line: We always offer new content and updates.

“Our goal is to help webmasters make money off their traffic,” he continued. “2013 promises to be exciting with this new affiliate program and always more content on MrPorn.com.”
