WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. – Veteran live-cam platform Flirt4Free has acquired Peekshows.com, another longstanding player in arena.

Established in 1999 as one of the pioneering live webcam companies, Las Vegas-based Peekshows focused primarily on live adult webcams and nude chat. The business model’s similarities to the core business of Flirt4Free made the company an attractive acquisition target, Estes said.
Founded in 1996, Flirt4Free was among the first to integrate live chats and shows with interactive gamification features.
“Our acquisition of Peekshows is only the natural next step in the evolution of the live web cam industry, which will emphasize a bolder brand and image,” Estes said. “Furthermore, Flirt4Free continues our ongoing effort and commitment to the industry by expanding the business into new media platforms.”
Arcand indicated the industry’s live-cam segment has evolved to the point where consolidation is an attractive option.
“After many years in the industry, it is a pleasure handing Peekshows.com over to Flirt4free knowing that the Peekshows name will live on under a respected and professional company,” he said. “I look forward to seeing their talented team grow Peekshows to its past glory.”
