YNOT – The adult entertainment industry may have been slow to embrace microblogging and other online social networking phenomena, but now that adult has figured out the medium, porn stars and content producers are pushing the tools in all sorts of interesting directions in an effort to make social networks pay.
Tom Byron Pictures has settled on one approach the company hopes not only will generate buzz about a long-running DVD series, but also give the studio ideas for future products. Through Jan. 28, Twitter followers of studio founder Tom Byron who tweet reviews of Byron’s products will have a chance to win porn.
“The rules are simple and the prize is fun,” said Byron.
To enter, participants must tweet a 140-character review of their favorite release in the Seasoned Players series. The tweet must be tagged with “#SP15” in order to be counted. Entries will be accepted only from U.S. residents who can provide proof they are 18 or older and are willing to reveal their address so the studio can mail them their prize.
Winners of the contest will receive Seasoned Players 15 on DVD and the Seasoned Players 5 DVD Pack, which contains volumes 1-5 in the series. Among the stars featured are Inari Vachs, Alana Evans, Zoey Holloway, Rayveness and Shay Fox.
As an example of what he’s looking for in reviews, Byron tweeted, “#SP15 Seasoned Players 11 was the best b/c it had salt pepper and the even tastier @thereallisaann IMILF-Interracial Mom I’d Like To F*ck!”
Byron said he plans to comb through the reviews on Jan. 29 and choose the most creative.
“I think this is a great, quick way to gain feedback about the series,” he said. “It also offers fans a chance to get involved and win a pretty sweet prize.”
