Iceland — Iceland’s only porn export, Viking Princess Tindra Frost, was recently profiled by lifestyle and culture magazine from a male point of view, Mel Magazine.
In “Viking Princess Tindra Frost Is Iceland’s First Porn Star,” writer Jake Hall refers to her as “royalty” and a “pioneer.”
The piece talks about Frost’s rocky start in adult — with news sites in her home country, which outlaws porn, writing tabloid pieces about her. In 2012, she was a resident TV Babe and intriguing viewers with her accent. Before she could tell her parents, they found out by checking out her social media. Frost talks about the rise of OnlyFans, anti-porn laws not being strictly enforced, not living in Iceland for over a decade, the country’s comprehensive sex-ed curriculum and many other hot button topics.
“Very rarely do I discuss what it was like at the beginning of my career and the reaction of Iceland’s tabloids, but now that I’m in my 30s and I’ve been in the industry in one form or another, I decided now was the time,” Frost shared.
She continued, “The harassment and doxing were awful. Thankfully, it’s not available online anymore, and they’re looking at adult content slightly differently. It takes time, but things like views on sex need to change. And I know that speaking out helps move things like that forward.”
Frost has since managed to reclaim her Icelandic heritage, leveraging it as a sort of calling card and badge of honor.
Hall wrote that Frost now claims her Icelandic heritage as a kind of “fuck you” to the country’s press. Frost is quoted saying, “Especially when the first stories came out, I was shamed by the media so much… I was like, ‘Right, now I’m gonna really shove this in your face!’” Thus, according to Hall, Frost’s rebellious “Viking Princess” persona — the alias she currently uses to create content — was born. This is the sort of stance just about everyone in the adult industry can appreciate!
