“THROBBING” is a new body of work consisting of mixed media sculptures and paintings, never seen before Polaroids, and a brand new line of Spilled Poppers Sculptures by New York based artist Kyle Quinn, produced specifically for Circus of Books. Polaroids from the artist’s archive, shot between 2019-2022, are casted and poured into this new body of artworks, combining all his favorite influences, muses, and turn ons. These new paintings incorporate a variety of materials such as steel chains, acrylic and inks, a Gucci tag gifted from local trade, and new Polaroids of people the artist has connected with throughout his career.

The Spilled Poppers Sculpture series is a vast collection of used poppers bottles that the artist has collected over time from past lovers, models, and trade. The sculptures consist of bottles casted with clear casting resin, gold and metallic pigments, real Amyl Nitrate, and later dusted with inks and paints to resemble a physical spill from real life sexual settings. Quinn has also highlighted his past muses, one being famous porn legend Donnie Russo. The artist has produced 3 new artworks never shown before: A “pour” painting featuring the pornstar in his peak porno magazine era and two new Polaroids after a photo session with the artist. Quinn is also presenting a library of books from his publishing imprint Raw Meat Collective.
