YNOT – Kimber James may have won the 2010 AVN Transsexual of the Year award, but this gorgeous performer doesn’t classify herself as a TS star. In fact, James doesn’t worry about labeling herself — and she doesn’t think her fans worry about it either.YNOT.com: First, please tell us about yourself.
Kimber James: I’m 22, was born in Miami. My fav food is sushi and pasta. I love history; love antiques and old buildings and a good ghost story.
Was it challenging to come to terms with being TS?
No, not really. I went through life thinking I was a girl. I didn’t wake up one day and think, ‘OMG, I’m a TS.” I started my transition at 12…. Do I wish I had been born a girl? Yes, every day!
Are you naturally this gorgeous? Or did your current beauty require a little ‘help?’
[Laughs.] Yes I’ve had the help of some lovely plastic surgeons. However, I think I’m ugly and am actually very self-conscious, so I’ll have surgery probably ’til the day I die.
You seem to have become one of the A-level T-girl stars, along with Gia Darling and Allanah Starr. How did this happen?
They helped me, but really I always set out to be a name in all porn — not just TS porn — so I had my goals and I did what I could to get there. I guess dreams, goals, friends, luck, drive and things coming by chance [helped me get where I am].
What is life like for you, when you are out of the public eye?
I’m really low key. I go to dinner and lunch with friends; shop here and there. I like to travel. My best friend lives in London and I’m really close to her family, so I’m there every other month and I think I’m going to move there full time.
I just got back from Dubai. I love it there. I hate L.A., so any excuse to leave, I take!
Does it bother you that many of your fans see you as a ‘girl with a cock,’ rather than a girl in transition?
Actually, what I hear from most of my fans is that they don’t like TS girls and won’t watch any others [besides me]. But they come across me on streaming sites and happen to get a liking for me because in the porn I do, I don’t really use my penis and don’t top. This has kind of been the story with all my boyfriends: I’ve never dated a guy that liked TS girls and dated any after me. Well, I did date one guy who liked TS girls, but only one.
So what advice do you have for fans who want a T-girl of their own?
I don’t have any, really. Every TS girl is different and so is each person they’re in the relationship with, and so is the relationship between the people that are in it.
I can tell you all my relationships have been very different, because the lives of the people I’m in the relationship with are always different. Things like jobs, kids and other things come into play.
The only exception to this for me is if they’re in porn. Everyone has slept with everyone and everyone knows everyone’s business. I will never date anyone in porn again. This is a fact.
The only thing that all my relationships have in common is that I seem to always fall for crazy people! You think they’re normal, and then they pull a fast one on ya. I’ve always fallen for very complex people for some reason. Mind you, while most of my relationships have been with men, I have dated women, and other TS girls.
