LONDON, ENGLAND — A new survey by the British tabloid The Sun has discovered that 66-percent of women admit to watching porn.Of course, the figure still pales in comparison to the nearly nine out of 10 men who watch porn, according to the survey. Of the 88-percent of men who admitted watching porn, one in four indulges his porn fancy daily.
More than 1,000 readers responded to The Sun’s online poll, which investigated how, when and why Brits enjoy adult entertainment. Of the men who admitted watching porn, one-third were 18-25 years old, 22-percent were 26-35, 21-percent were 26-45 and 18-percent were older than 45. The women’s statistics sifted out slightly differently: One third were aged 18-25, another one-third were 36-45, and 16-percent were older than 45.
Among the 18- to 25-year-old men, 93-percent reported watching porn.
Also revealed by the survey: More than three-quarters (77-percent) of men have told their partners they enjoy porn, but only 16-percent of men involve pornography in foreplay even though 76-percent of men and 87-percent of women who watch porn reported they are married or “in a relationship.” Only 22-percent of men and 10-percent of women who reported watching porn admitted they are single.
Perhaps couples should talk more about their porn-watching habits: 46-percent of men said they would be turned on if they found their partners watching adult entertainment without them, and only 11-percent would be upset by the discovery.
Women, on the other hand, seemed less willing to join the fun: 34-percent said they would be upset upon discovering their partner watching porn. Another 34-percent reported they would have no opinion either way. Only one-quarter admitted the discovery would turn them on.
Women seem to be onto their partners’ closet porn-watching habits, as well. Sixty-five percent reported being aware of their mate’s viewing habits, and only 14-percent said their men “definitely did not look at images of sexy women.”
Coincidentally, 15-percent of men reported hiding their porn from their partners.
Of the women who admitted enjoying adult entertainment, 26-percent said they indulge once a month. Only 6-percent reported watching daily. Nearly 53-percent said they “rarely” watch porn.
