Back in January, German producer Steven Shame launched his new reality series DateRanger, produced in both English and German. Now, less than four months later, Shame and his production team have announced the arrival of the show’s second season – as well as plans for many more episodes to come.
“We were delighted by the huge international success with viewers,” Shame said in a statement issued Monday. “Our consequence: The Ranger will be continued on a larger scale.”
Shame added that “larger scale” in this case means “new locations, multiple countries and even more episodes.”
“We will produce 48 new episodes of the reality series,” Shame said, revealing that filming has been underway since early March in Spain, France, Hungary, Italy and Germany.
Shame’s expansion of the series will also mean the involvement of “numerous international adult stars,” the producer said in his announcement. Joining the cast for the second season of DateRanger are Jade Presley from Spain, BDSM specialist Venom Evil, French/Polish performer Ania Kinski, multiple award-nominated Lucy Heart from Russia and “German anal queen” Mara Martinez.
While the first season of the show largely centered around male lead Bodo Burner, DateRanger’s second season will feature multiple male actors, including Kevin White and Robin Reed from Spain and Rico Simmons from France.
The format, in which singles find hot dates on DateRanger.com, will also change significantly in the show’s second season, Shame said.
“In the past, we have taken inspiration for many of our productions from young formats on YouTube,” Shame said. “DateRanger takes the next step and combines this style with state-of-the-art reality TV influences.”
Shame explained that each episode of the show is “introduced in the style of a reality show,” adding that visually “that means point-of-view is supplemented with gonzo elements.”
“On one hand, the viewer has an overview of the scene, but on the other hand, he’s up close and personal in the first-person perspective,” Shame noted.
The second season of DateRanger is now available on tube sites Pornhub, Xhamster, Xvideos and XNXX. Shame said that “additional distribution channels will be announced at a later date.”
