YNOT – Business consulting and management services provider Start My Porn Company has scheduled the first of its 2012 Weekend Intensive Production Workshop events for Feb. 24-26 in the Los Angeles area. As part of the experience, participants will visit the set of a full-length feature in production.

SMPC’s workshops provide an intensive, step-by-step education in producing original adult content. According to SMPC partners Linda Roberts and Sherry Ziegelmeyer, graduates emerge with everything they need to know to plan their own content shoots and launch their own adult production companies. The three-day workshops include interactive sessions covering everything from budgeting productions to the recordkeeping requirements mandated for all adult producers in the U.S.

In addition, attendees receive firsthand experience in filming adult models and setting up productions, as well as an introduction to post-production steps like editing, packaging and marketing.

“Many people are interested in seeing what goes on behind the scenes during a hardcore video production,” Roberts said. “Participants in our Intensive Production Workshops receive expert advice on how to budget and plan productions, keep mandatory government records, learn what revenue streams are available in adult, and they have the ability to ask technical questions of adult professionals while our video production is taking place.”
