CYBERSPACE — They say that imitation is the highest form of flattery, but British-born soccer player David Beckham doesn’t apparently feel very complimented.Somehow or other, Beckham, who moved to Spain in 2003 after being traded to Real Madrid for $40 million, discovered that four photos of a man who looks a great deal like him have graced the pages of a 2007 calendar being sold on an unnamed gay adult website.

Although the photos don’t actually star Beckham, the celebrity look-alike is close enough to the real thing that it’s resulted in unwanted homophobic taunts and jibes from his past and present fellow soccer players — something the man rumored to have repeatedly cheated on pop star wife Posh Spice apparently doesn’t appreciate.

According to the Daily Snack, the hunky Beckham look-alike can be seen posing naked except for a cute little apron hiding his naughtiest bits. The fake Beckham is shown going about the business of housecleaning, including getting out a mop, cleaning a mirror using a soccer shirt, chopping fruits and veggies, and playing soccer in the living room.

A source close to Beckham is reported to have said that “The calendar has become a bit of locker-room joke for David’s old England teammates” who “think it’s hilarious, but David doesn’t find it so funny. He’s upset and angry about the calendar because it’s basically making him look a bit of a fool.”

No word yet as to whether Brad Pitt and Prince William, two more men whose calendar look-alikes are engaged in equally sassy housecleaning shots, also feel their manliness has been compromised or called into question.
